Ballaminers House and Cottages

Ballaminers House is a beautiful 18th century Cornish farmhouse, set in just over four acres with two stunning and luxurious cottages available to rent as holiday properties all year round. ‘Otters Retreat’ used to be the old dairy for the farm, and the other cottage, ‘Fox Corner’, used to be the stable.

No longer a working farm, both cottages have been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated into two charming two bedroom cottages, each accommodating up to four guests. Dogs and children are very welcome, and all visitors have the exclusive use of our three acre meadow for their pleasure.

Located at the rear of the cottages, we also have a spacious and secure parking area, with ample room for several cars, and an area with a shared outdoor shower space, for hosing down the dog after a muddy walk, or freshening up after a trip to one of the sandy beaches on a warm summers day.

The Perfect Location

The cottages are nestled into the beautiful Cornish village of Little Petherick, just a three mile drive from Padstow. With seven magical sandy beaches on your doorstep, and the glorious surrounding countryside, this is a perfect location for exploring North Cornwall, and the wider area.

Little Petherick has its own historic church and a picturesque bistro, The Old Mill House. A walk along the Little Petherick Creek, which joins the famous Camel Estuary, will take 50 minutes to reach Padstow, where you can enjoy the delights of the beautiful working harbour, or one of the amazing restaurants, shops, and pubs. With so much choice in the local area, you really will feel like you are in foodie heaven.

Most guests comment on our perfect location, the breath-taking surrounding countryside, the abundance of local sights and activities to explore, the golden sandy beaches, or the almost endless choice of first class restaurants all within a stones through of the cottages, but almost all also adore the peace and tranquillity of this exquisite rural setting.

Waking up to the sound of the birds singing, the distant echo of cows mooing, or the stillness of early morning life, we’re confident a relaxing holiday in one of our cottages will create many happy and lasting memories for you. Whatever the time of year there is so much to be enjoyed. You can snuggle up by the fireplace, prepare a brunch brought from the local farm shop, explore everything there is to see, spend lazy days lounging on the beach, walk for hours, or simply enjoy your morning coffee relaxing and taking in the wonderful sights and sounds of this peaceful and delightful setting.
